ACTIVE KANSAS RECOGNIZED LPN LICENSE

• Applicants for the Associate Degree of Nursing Completion program must have an active Kansas-recognized LPN license. Effective July 1, 2019, Kansas is the 30th state in the United States to be a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). COMPLETE THE ATI ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY EXAM

SUBMIT A TRANSCRIPT FROM PRACTICAL NURSING PROGRAM

• Applicants for the ADN program will be scored based on their cumulative GPA in their respective Practical Nursing program. Students are required to have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher to be considered for admission. Transfer courses must have a grade of “C” or higher.

COMPLETE PREREQUISITE COURSES

• Applicants for the ADN program must have completed prerequisite courses with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher to be considered for admission. It is highly encouraged to have all transcripts on file with the college prior to meeting with an academic advisor. Any grades of “P” will be reviewed for transfer credit at the Registrar's discretion. For scoring purposes, a “P” will be awarded as a “C” (2 points).

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY STANDARDS

Manhattan Tech values the diverse backgrounds of our students and is committed to supporting their academic success. If English is not your first language or you graduated from a non-English-speaking school, you must demonstrate English proficiency by meeting one of the following:

Prior Education: (Meet one of the following below)

1. Earned a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent from a U.S. high school or from a school where English is the primary language of instruction.
2. Completed an intermediate ELL or college-level English course (grade of “C” or better) at an accredited English-speaking college or university.
3. Graduated from a regionally accredited English-speaking post-secondary institution.

To verify that you meet one of the above standards, you are required to complete and submit the English Proficiency Waiver Request Form. This form allows you to indicate which standard you meet and provide supporting documentation. The admissions team will review these exceptions along with your detailed explanation and respond within 5-7 business days regarding the waiver decision.
